After running a busy restaurant in Chew Magna, North Somerset, selling wines, spirits and a large selection of gins, the owners asked us to create a brand for their own gin.
We created a ripple effect for the bottle front to be printed on a clear label as a nod to the surface of the famous Chew Valley Lake. The owner of the restaurant always wears a waistcoat so for fun we created ‘Goose-man’ wearing a waistcoat and printed this on the reverse of the back label so the image can be seen through the front of the bottle.
There are now six different varieties of gin and each has its own bespoke Goose-man design. There also special editions which are released from, time to to so look out for them too!
Now a business in its own right, Chew Vally Gin has moved to larger premises where they distill and run a bottleshop, taproom and bar.
